Killer Trails is 1 year old!

  Another great Killer Trail  - This was our third Killer Trail and just as enjoyable as the other two.

Having visited York a couple of times before the city isn’t completely new... read more to me but again the trail really makes you take in and appreciate the place. As you’re not doing the trail as part of an organised group either it makes it more intimate and gives you flexibly which came in really handy on this particular visit as we weren’t able to do it on the evening we had originally planned so instead got up early and made a great Saturday morning of it.

We enjoy these so much it’s almost dictating where we have UK breaks away as I always want to fit a Killer Trail into it!

  Murder mystery site seeing  - What’s not to love? Solving murders and seeing the best parts of beautiful Winchester.
We went on a particularly nice day and it made our group absolutely fall in... read more love with Winchester. The puzzle is hard so bring a group because every person contributed in different ways to crack the case.
Awesome thing to do if you are looking for an outdoor activity, bonding, having a laugh, seeing some really cool stuff.

This was our second Killer Trail and we thoroughly enjoyed it - the puzzles were a good level of challenge and we had fun finalising the details over a well deserved meal at the end!

  Okay, but over complicated in most parts  - I’m not sure if it was just my incapabilities but I didn’t actually find this treasure hunt that great. I usually love doing these and I’ve done about 10 of... read more the treasurehunt.co.uk ones and loved all of them! This one I honestly found to be too difficult. Don’t get me wrong, I love searching for clues (like plaques on the walls and having to use dates as clues etc) but I was stumped on the first clue and then the third and then the fourth and it just got ridiculous and basically not fun my other half didn’t get that engaged either because it was all too confusing and there were too many pieces of paper to keep switching between. I lost it when I got to the Roman numerals clue and another one on the front of a building with words like Li5 (I won’t give much away not that I’d be able to anyway!) so we just have up in the end and went to one of the pubs. I think we got to clue 6 and then called it a day and watched football instead (pic attached haha). I wish it could have been a simple find the plaque and dates and then just cross that off on the word search, rather then getting extremely technical and over complicated with Roman numerals and something that looked like it was out of space invaders. It’s frazzled my poor brain! And to be fair to myself, I took the trail to the pub quiz I went to that evening and even my team were stumped on the Li5 type clue!!!!! So yeah, it’s a shame really as I really wanted to love this as an alternative to the company I always use but I don’t think I’ll use them again. But hey, maybe they’re just too intelligent for me 🙁
