    • No tricks here! Just a simple warm-up trivia question to get you going.

    Hint 3

    • The pub’s name is another clue!

    Hint 4

    • The character is a bear that wears a red hat and a blue coat.

    Hint 5

    • Feel free to use the internet if you’re stuck on any trivia throughout the game.

    Warning: Solution

    • Paddington

February’s Location

  • Hint 1

    • Colin’s letter mentioned the pieces of collateral having small codes with a number in brackets. What do the three letters part of each code represent? This will help you discover which materials to use for each puzzle.

    Hint 2

    • Find the flyer with the code “FEB (5)” to solve February’s puzzle.

    Hint 3

    • Look for key words and phrases in the text, giving clues on how to uncover the hidden location.

    Hint 4

    • Some of the product clusters look a little like letters! But not all of them…

    Hint 5

    • What type of ingredients does the patented formula contain?

    Hint 6

    • “Heavenly glow”, “light-activated”, “illuminating results”, “…holds me up to higher standards”. Hmm, what could these phrases be hinting at?

    Hint 7

    • Hold the flyer up to a light source.

    Hint 8

    • The products on both sides of the flyer line up to create a five-letter word.

    Warning: Solution

    • Angel

March’s Location

  • Hint 1

    • To solve this puzzle, find marketing collateral with the SKU code “MAR (8)”.

    Hint 2

    • You only need the doughnut shop flyer to solve this puzzle.

    Hint 3

    • Why is some of the text in italics? Could they hold any clues?

    Hint 4

    • The Doughnut names seem familiar. But what to do with them…

    Hint 5

    • You don’t need to fold any new creases, but what about folding the creases you have the other way? Do the sprinkles then reveal anything?

    Hint 6

    • The doughnuts are all named after popular films, but something seems to be missing. What could you do with the missing bits?

    Hint 7

    • Using the existing creases, fold the panels in different ways to reveal a key hidden among the sprinkles that appear where the panel edges meet. The key has three parts.

    Hint 8

    • The film titles are all missing a number. Warning: The following hint reveals these numbers.

    Hint 9

    • The missing film title numbers in order are: 50, 1, Fifth (or 5), 21, 12, 7, 10, 8.

    Hint 10

    • The sprinkles form a hidden key across the panel edges — for example, here they spell 5 –> B. Fold the panels in other ways to find two more parts of the key where the edges meet.

      Picture of leaflet showing "5 -> B" spelt using sprinkles over two panel edges

    Hint 11

    • The sprinkles around the edges reveal a hidden key: 3 –> Z, 4 –> A, 5 –> B.

    Hint 12

    • Could this key continue for every letter of the alphabet?

    Hint 13

    • Are there any numbers you could convert to letters following the sequences in the sprinkle’s key? Oh yes, there are!

    Warning: Solution

    • The doughnut numbers in order converted to letters are:
      50 – 26 (once through the alphabet) = 24 = U
      1 = X
      5 = B
      21 = R
      12 = I
      7 = D
      10 = G
      8 = E

      The answer is Uxbridge.

April’s Location

  • Hint 1

    • To solve this clue, you just need the pool hall flyer.

    Hint 2

    • Do any of the words stand out?

    Hint 3

    • The italic text says: “Sequential format” and “shoot balls into balls”. The yellow text says “balls Paired with characters they strike through”. What could you do with this information?

    Hint 4

    • Aha! Could you somehow use the map?

    Hint 5

    • If you shot each ball into the ball with the succeeding number, you’d take 14 shots. Interestingly, there are also 14 columns on the map’s grid. Coincidence?!

    Hint 6

    • If you shoot ball 1 into ball 2, it passes through the letter B. If you shoot ball 2 into ball 3, it passes through the letter B again, and so on. This will give you 14 letters paired with 14 numbers.

    Hint 7

    • Somehow use your 14 number-letter pairs with the map’s grid.

    Hint 8

    • The number-letter pairs are: 1B, 2B, 3H, 4A, 5W, 6O, 7O, 8R, 9O, 10M, 11H, 12G, 13C, 14C. What text is contained within these grid references?

    Hint 9

    • The text inside these grid references reads, “Common name For The World’s Oldest Tennis Tournament.”

    Warning: Solution

    • The answer is Wimbledon

May’s Location

  • Hint 1

    • To solve this clue, you just need the nail salon business card.

    Hint 2

    • Any words or graphics standing out? Those nail varnish colours look more like crossword clues! Maybe that’s a good place to start?

    Hint 3

    • There are 3 subtle star shapes on the front of the business card. Are they trying to give a clue?

    Hint 4

    • Duo is in bold. The salon is on 2 Couples St. The offer is Buy 1 Get 1 Free. They all have something to do with 2, but what?

    Hint 5

    • Are there any similarities between the answers?

    Hint 5

    • The nail varnish colours in order are:
      Tennis
      Aardvark
      Summer
      Freeze
      Abyss
      Rook
      Buffy
      Soccer
      Queen
      Moon

    Hint 6

    • The 3 stars on the front are all under the letters A, B, and C. But the next letter along from these is also the same!

    Hint 7

    • All of the nail varnish colours contain a double letter. What could you do with them?

    Hint 8

    • The nail varnish double letters spell NAMESOFCEO.

    Warning: Solution

    • The CEO’s first name is Colin. His father’s surname is Dale. We can assume that Colin’s surname is also Dale. So his full name without any spaces is Colindale.

June’s Location

  • Hint 1

    • To solve this clue, you only need the plumbing flyer.

    Hint 2

    • Well, it’s got to be something to do with those pipes! Do any words hint at what to do? Any that stand out?

    Hint 3

    • That pipe in the bottom-right corner looks like a question mark! But the others don’t quite look like characters… It also says, ‘we exclusively use our signature green pipes.’ Maybe the other, subtler pipes should be disregarded.

    Hint 4

    • There are pipes on both sides. Could they be used together at all?

    Hint 5

    • Ah, some of the pipe ends connect between the two sides! Could the pipe’s paths be drawing something, maybe? On Side 1, there’s a pipe in the top-left corner with “GO!” written inside. That looks like a good place to start following the pipe’s paths!

    Hint 6

    • Daisey’s quote provides another key to solving this clue. What do the words in bold say?

    Hint 7

    • On a separate sheet of paper, draw the path of a pipe until you reach its end. If the pipe’s end connects to another pipe on the opposite side of the flyer, flip the flyer over and continue your line from the same point. In other words, keep your pen in place as you flip the flyer, then continue drawing the pipe’s path so it forms one continuous line for each letter you create.

    Hint 8

    • Here is a step-by-step guide on how to draw the first letter. Do this on a separate sheet of paper.

      Step 1

      • Start on Side 1 with the pipes in the top-left corner.
      • Draw a line matching the pipe’s length from the open hole (A) to the pipe’s other end (B).
      • Do not lift your pen and flip over the flyer.

      Step 2

      • Pipe end (B) on Side 1 flows through to pipe end (C) on Side 2.
      • Draw the pipe’s path up to its end (D).
      • Do not lift your pen and flip back over the flyer.

      Step 3

      • Pipe end (D) on Side 2 flows through to pipe end (E) back on Side 1.
      • Draw the pipe’s path up to its open hole (F).
      • This sequence draws the letter H.

    Hint 9

    • When following the pipes’ paths, always start on Side 1. The next set of pipes below the ‘H’ forms a ‘2’.

    Hint 10

    • The next set of pipes below form a 0 and a + sign.

    Hint 11

    • The pipe’s paths on the right draw the letters “T O I L E T = ?”. So, collectively the pipe’s paths spell “H20 + Toilet = ?”. What eight-letter London location could this be?!

    Warning: Solution

    • The answer is Waterloo.

July’s Location

  • Hint 1

    • Is there more than one piece of marketing collateral with the code JUL (6)?

    Hint 2

    • To solve this puzzle, use the tattoo flyer and the six burlesque business cards.

    Hint 3

    • The name of the burlesque show is a clue!

    Hint 4

    • Are the business cards the same size as anything else? What’s a key difference between the six business cards?

    Hint 5

    • The six tattoos pair up with the business cards, but how? There are a few mentions of “X” on the tattoo flyer. Could this be a clue?

    Hint 6

    • There are letters within some of the circles inside the frames on the business cards. What are they for?

    Hint 7

    • The six tattoos on the reverse of the flyer pair up with the six burlesque dancers, e.g. Blaze with the fire tattoo. Lay the business cards on top of the corresponding tattoos. Then, the X’s part of the tattoos line up with circles around the frame on the business cards. Some of them contain letters, some don’t…

    Hint 8

    • Could the blank circles represent letters somehow?

    Hint 9

    • How many circles go around the edge of the business cards?

    Hint 10

    • There are 26 circles around the edges of the business cards. These represent the alphabet with some letters already in place.

      The burlesque dancer and tattoo pairs are:
      Flora -> Tree tattoo
      Banshee -> Ghost tattoo
      Siren -> Mermaid tattoo
      Luna -> Moon tattoo
      Pearl -> Oyster tattoo
      Blaze -> Fire tattoo

    Warning: Solution

    • The X’s on the tattoos line up with circles on the business cards, representing the letters: TEMPLE

August’s Location

  • Hint 1

    • To solve this clue, you just need the phone repair shop flyer.

    Hint 2

    • Apparently, they’re the best in the “Solar System”. Strange thing to say…

    Hint 3

    • The names of the 8 phone models are weird…

    Hint 4

    • Mercery and Genus are almost spelt like the planets Mercury and Venus, but not quite…

    Hint 5

    • There are 8 phone models and 8 planets in the Solar System!

    Hint 6

    • The phone models are almost anagrams of planets, but not quite…

    Hint 7

    • The phone models are anagrams of the 8 planets in our Solar System, just with one letter different. What do those numbers in the 8 pink circles mean? Two of them are the same.

    Hint 8

    • Mercery = Mercury, with “E” being the phone model’s faulty letter to make an anagram of the planet. What are the phone models’ 8 “faulty” letters? Are two of the faults the same? The phone models are in the order of the Solar System’s planets.

    Hint 9

    • The numbers in the pink circles show the order to put the faulty components in. There are two 2’s (these models have the same faulty component).

    Warning: Solution

    • Below are the phone models’ faulty letters to make anagrams of the 8 planets and the order they should be put in:

      mercery = Mercury (E, 1st)
      genus = Venus (G, 3rd)
      terra = Earth (R, 6th)
      maar = Mars (A, 5th)
      writeup = Jupiter (W, 4th)
      strand = Saturn (D, 2nd)
      aureus = Uranus (E, 7th)
      pendent = Neptune (D, 2nd)

      The faulty components in order spell EDGWARE

September’s Location

  • Hint 1

    • To solve this clue, you just need the club’s after-party flyer.

    Hint 2

    • In bold, it says, “study the train lines before heading out”. The train line names look like crossword clues! What are the train lines actually called?

    Hint 3

    • Are there any similarities between the names of the train lines? What could they be used for? Something to do with the travel directions?

    Hint 4

    • How many stops are on each train line on the diagram?

    Hint 5

    • How many letters are in each train line name?

    Hint 6

    • All the train line solutions end in “line”!

    Hint 7

    • Heading east, the last four stops on all train lines on the diagram are the same. Who organises the after party?

    Hint 8

    • Each train line name has the same number of stops as its corresponding line on the diagram. Fill in the train line’s name in the circles representing each stop. Then follow the travel directions to get to The Answer.

    Hint 8

    • The train line names in order are: Vaseline, Adrenaline, Praline, Blur The Line, Alkaline, Party Line, and Scoreline. Fill in each line’s circular stops with these letters.

    Warning: Solution

    • Following the travel directions to get to The Answer, you’ll pass through the letters RAVENSCOURT PARK.

October’s Location

  • Hint 1

    • To solve this clue, you just need the takeaway leaflet. Oh, it’s ripped!…

    Hint 2

    • The secret recipe’s diet codes and prices are missing. That’s a shame… It sounds like the diet codes are important to know…

    Hint 3

    • If only there was a logical way to work out the diet codes and prices…

    Hint 4

    • Do any words on the menu provide clues about what to do?

    Hint 5

    • There’s a big hint on the front of the menu.

    Hint 6

    • How two words on the front of the menu are pronounced will give you a big clue!

    Hint 7

    • What’s the head chef’s name? How is it pronounced?

    Hint 8

    • Cilla Ball sounds like syllable. How could this help relate the dishes to the prices?

    Hint 9

    • Hmm… Everything that’s £1 also has the diet code (§), which sort of looks like an s…

    Hint 10

    • “Crispy veg pakoras” has six syllables. All other dishes with six syllables are £6 and have the diet code (ʃε). All those glyphs almost look like letters…

    Warning: Solution

    • The number of syllables for each dish matches its price. Dishes that are the same price share the same diet code. Therefore, the diet codes for the secret recipes are: (ʃε)(▽℮)(Ӆ)(§)(ɨ)(§)(†)(€)(₹$), which look like the letters SEVen SiStERS. The answer is Seven Sisters.

    Hint 5

    • Have you used the one-load bag yet? Does any text in bold give you a hint on what to do?

    Hint 6

    • “For the best results, turn items inside out before inserting them into our washing machines.”

    Hint 7

    • What could you turn inside out and use with the one-load bag?

    Hint 8

    • Turn the leaflet inside out and place it inside (or behind) the one-load bag. Are any messages revealed?

    Hint 9

    • Place the one-load bag over the map’s middle page on the leaflet to reveal a secret message. Line up the corners of the bag’s washing machine graphic with four subtle corner markers on the page.

    Hint 10

    • Once aligned, the text readable through the transparent areas on the bag reads, “on whi Ch Street Do es She rl ock Hol mes Live”. Feel free to use the internet if you’re stuck on any trivia!

    Hint 7

    • Aha! The location label points are the same angles as the multi-pointed star on the wash-care dial. Is there anything you could use to trace the angles accurately? What do the icons mean? What could they lead to?

    Hint 8

    • The location names from the first 10 puzzles will give you 10 angles on the wash-care dial. Use the Wash Care Settings Guide for the next step.

    Hint 9

    • The Wash Care Setting Guide has letters underlined.

    Hint 10

    • Have you got 10 letters but are not sure of the order? How about using the map for the order?

    Hint 11

    • Put your location’s letters in order from west to east.

    Warning: Solution

    • The first ten location solutions give you 10 points on the wash care dial, which leads to 10 underlined letters on the Wash Care Settings Guide. These, in order, from west to east on the leaflet’s map, are: E X I T P O I N T S. This is the secret pass-phrase!
