Transcript of a statement by Dr. Fang (a witness):
“I have something to admit. I went to Ted’s house the night of his death. I’ve been so furious at him for producing that damn lethal gin. It’s ruining everyone’s teeth! I asked Ted to stop peacefully, and he didn’t. So I saw no choice but to escalate matters. But when I arrived at his house that evening, I saw a cloaked person leap from his window and run down the street. With his operation being illegal and all, I assumed it was Ted running from the fuzz. As the person ran away, I heard this drop from their pocket, so I picked it up. I think it’s a vial of mercury…”
